On the wisdom to Disagree Agreeably...

Another new exclusive design is now available! Another idea bouncing around the social conversation with direct application for authentic disciples.

Disagree Agreeably means sharing differences of opinion respectfully of another person's perspective, keeping a calm and constructive tone, and focusing on finding a solution rather than winning an argument. It also involves active listening, acknowledging the other's point, and clearly but respectfully stating your own different viewpoint.

This is the backbone of a turning point in society, reflected in backbone-oriented design on back. The concept of "Disagree Agreeably" originated in 1912 by the renowned Dale Carnegie to provide a method of handling conflict. Most recently in 2025, this concept was applied in a personal message from Charlie Kirk to CNN host and political commentator Van Jones with whom each held many opposing views (receipts: read more here and listen here).

For disciples, Paul instructs Timothy that "
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth." (See 2 Timothy 2:24–25).

In today's divided, soundbyte-driven society, this is more essential than ever.
